Class #2: Black Power Economics [Audio Version]

Economics is a science. By that, I mean it is an organized system of activities (some economic systems are more highly organized than others), as opposed to a random series of activities. This will be one of several classes that asks fundamental Economics questions, and answers those questions as simply as possible. The question for this class is, "What is Black Power Economics?"

What is Black Power Economics?

Black Power Economics is the management of the specific "wealth" of Black People in a manner that benefits Black People the most. For the purpose of this course, the Black People We are talking about are the ones in the United States of America. The Black Power Economics We are talking about is therefore geared toward the economic endeavors of Black People who live in the country that is presently known as the United States of America.

The first key to evolving an independent Black Power Economic system that will be addressed is "Attitude." Then, we will address a second key, that of "Management."

Throughout this course, We must remember this: What We do with the economic tools We already have is much more important than how much more We can get of any particular economic tool.
