Individuals can receive Certificates and Degrees for courses taken at Aset University. Remember that Aset U is not an establishment institution and is not accredited. But, by taking courses at Aset University and acquiring a Certificate or Degree, you are becoming highly knowledgeable in a field of study that traditional colleges and educators know little about.

In order for a person to receive a Certificate or Degree, that person must acquire and read the entire textbook for that course if the textbook is available! Textbooks can be purchased (Click Here for purchasing information) or retrieved from a library (If the library in your area does not carry it, ask that it be ordered. Be sure to tell the librarian the books must be ordered directly from ASET, with only a few exceptions). Give the librarian the ordering address that is listed above.) If the textbook is not available for purchase, all materials will be provided online and can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate links.

After taking a course, an individual who wants to receive a Degree or Certificate must fill out and submit the form below.We will respond via email. You will have to pass at least one exam for each course. Then, the appropriate Certificate or Degree will be mailed to you via U.S. Postal Service. Each Certificate and Degree issued will incur an administration fee (see below).

If you need more information Send an Email. Include your name and type either "I want to receive a Black Studies CERTIFICATE" or "I want to receive a Black Studies DEGREE, Specify which one (e.g. Black History Degree or Black Psychology Certificate) if you can.

An individual can receive a course certificate for each course taken. To receive a CERTIFICATE, do the following:
(1) Send a $25.00 money order to Aset PO Box 60033 Washington DC 20039, or call 202-882-3416 to pay by Visa or MasterCard, or Pay using PayPal. If you send payment by mail, include a note explaining that it is for a certificate in the course you have taken.
(2) Acquire a copy of the book for that course, if it is necessary and available. Usually, you will be able to purchase it or check it out of a library. If you intend to purchase it from ASET, you should do so at the same time you send in your payment for the Certificate.
(3) Read the book and review every one of the online classes for the course you are taking.
(4) Email us that you are ready to take the exam. A series of questions will be emailed to you. Answer them at your own leisure and email the answers back to us. Your answers will be evaluated and graded, comments will be included in our response and your certificate will be mailed to you.

To receive a DEGREE, do the following:
(1) Check the requirements below to determine what courses must be taken to acquire a DEGREE.
(2) Purchase the book for each course (if a textbook is specified), take each course and be prepared to pass an exam in each course. To get a Degree, you will probably have to purchase an entire set of Black Studies books from ASET ($56.00).
(3) Send an email stating what Degree from ASET University you want to acquire (currently, three Degrees are available).
(4) After we respond, send a $100.00 money order to Aset PO Box 60033 Washington DC 20039, or call 202-882-3416 to pay by Visa or MasterCard, or Pay using PayPal. If you send payment by mail, include a note explaining that it is for a DEGREE from ASET U. If you need to purchase books from ASET, you should send include payment for the books.
(5) Read the book(s) and review every one of the online classes for the courses you have taken.
(6) Email us that you are ready to take the exams. Questions will be emailed to you for each required course. Answer them at your own leisure and email the answers back to us. Your answers will be evaluated and graded, and comments will be included in our responses. After you have successfully taken the exam in each course, your DEGREE will be mailed to you.

NOTE: You do not have to wait until you have taken all of the courses to start taking the exams. Provided we have received your payment, you can start taking the exams whenever you feel you are ready. Additionally, after we receive your payment, you do NOT have to complete the degree process within a certain time limit. You complete your degree at your own pace.
